This Competition is open to delegates attending the Australian Payroll Association 2018 Payroll Conference to be held in Melbourne on 25 October 2018 (Event). 3. Attendees must be over the age of 18 to enter the Competition. 4. To enter the competition, entrants must drop their business card in the relevant location in the Beam exhibition stand or complete the survey hosted here and enter their contact details. Only one entry per entrant is permitted. 5. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Competition the entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions 6. The competition is not open to employees of Precision Administration Services Pty Ltd (ABN 47 098 977 667), Sunsuper Pty Ltd (ABN 88 010 720 840) (or their associated companies or subsidiaries), or their families. 7. The competition commences at 8.00am AEST on 25 October 2018 and ends at 5:00pm AEDT on 25 October 2018 (“Competition Period”). All times in this competition are based on Australian Eastern Standard Time. 8. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid. 9. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the competition. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. 10. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant. 11. This is a game of chance and skill plays no part in determining the winner. Prize 13. The winner will be drawn at random from all entries received in accordance with Paragraph 4 (the “Winner”) of these Terms and Conditions. The draw will take place at the premises of the Event at 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf, Victoria on 25 October 2018 at 5.30pm AEST. Only one Winner will be drawn. 14. The Winner will be published on the Promoter’s website at www.beamconnect.com.au/competition. The Winner will be notified either in person, by email, telephone and/or in writing as soon as is practicable after the Winner has been drawn. If the Promoter cannot successfully contact the Winner within 48 hours of that Winner being drawn (making reasonable efforts), then that Winner forfeits the right to the Prize and another entrant will be drawn for the Prize. 15. The Prize is non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another of a similar nature and/or equal or greater value at any time. If the Winner is unable or unwilling to accept the Prize, subsequent draws will take place until a new Winner is found who is able/willing to accept the Prize. 16. Total prize pool value is AU$479. Consent and Privacy General 19. The Competition, together with these Terms and Conditions, is governed by the laws of Queensland. 20. If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition, as appropriate. 21. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition. 22. 18. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or these Terms and Conditions without notice in the event of the occurrence of circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
