Beam is currently being integrated with a number of Australian payrolls. To access Beam, you’ll need to use one of our payroll partners. Contact your payroll support team to find out if they are integrated with Beam and to register for Beam.
Beam is supported by your payroll software provider so all you need to do is contact your payroll support team. Rest assured, we provide comprehensive support to our payroll partners on all facets of super.
Beam uses clearing house technology but with a new level of service. With Beam you have:
A direct to fund payment means that Beam handles the messaging, but you pay the contributions directly to each super fund. This means that contributions are received faster. This is also called ‘pay fund directly.’
You submit your super contributions and we provide you with the EFT and payment reference details for each fund. You then make individual EFT payments to each fund via your financial institutions banking facility either manually or using the banking file you are able to download once your contribution is submitted. Beam distributes your contribution data to each fund in the SuperStream standard within 24 hours of the file being submitting.
If you ever want to make a complaint against Precision (the issuer of Beam) you can get in touch with us directly on
13 11 84.
There is also an external dispute resolution scheme that deals with complaints about financial services and products
– note there are some changes to this scheme effective 1 November 2018.
There are no changes to Precision’s internal complaints handling process, but now, if you are not happy with our response to a complaint, you should contact AFCA instead of FOS. AFCA is an independent body set up to help resolve disputes between financial institutions and their customers. You can also choose to take your complaint directly to AFCA without first referring it to Precision, though in some circumstances, AFCA may refer your complaint back to us.
Please note that the scope of matters AFCA can deal with has some limitations. It is possible that AFCA cannot deal with your matter. AFCA will advise you if they can deal with your complaint, and if so, what information you need to supply. Both the Precision internal dispute resolution procedure and AFCA service are free of charge.
